hiii! my name is sam melting, and this is my personal website,
melting snow
this site exists primarily to host my "about me" page, but it also serves as a place for me to gush about my interests, a place to practice css, and a place that's just nice and filled with things i like :)

i've been using a desktop computer since i was (at most) 3. i started surfing the web on my own when i was 5 or 6. whether this was good for me or not im not here to decide. this has however, given me a lifelong love of the "old web"

the current state of social media and the internet in general makes me sick; it feels simultaneously overwhleming and devoid of substance. this is my outpost/safe haven of good vibes on the net, (partially) reclaiming an experience of a slower internet i remember from long ago

i love doing things myself and the old web feel, so i take pride in the fact that my html and css is
100% hand-coded

^this visit counter on my main page is from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya!
it can be seen in the
anime and on their
site
